Unlicensed Protest | Transparency International

In a country where cars are essential but corruption made legal registration nearly impossible, thousands of Lebanese were forced to drive illegally without license plates. Instead of hiding the problem, we turned it into a protest. With Transparency International Lebanon, we transformed license plates into bold protest signs, allowing drivers to publicly display messages against corruption as convoys filled the streets nationwide. From physical pop-up activations to a digital platform that let anyone join in, the absence of license plates became impossible to ignore. By turning everyday cars into moving protests, the people didn’t just make noise, they forced the system to move.
